Summary:
Working for operations, the maintenance mechanic will be responsible for the preventative maintenance, maintenance and troubleshooting of the facilities and production equipment.
Key Responsibilities include:
Reporting to the production shift supervisor, the maintenance technician will be responsible for the following (but not limited to):
Follow the operating policies and procedures of the company to maintain compliance with FDA, cGMP, ISO, OSHA and other governmental agency requirements.
Product quality and personnel safety are highest priority Ensure equipment operation with all safety devices in place and safety procedures enforced Diagnose and resolve mechanical problems with the facilities equipment and the filling and packaging equipment Responsible for the facility maintenance Support, as necessary, filling and packaging equipment set up and start up at the beginning of each production shift.
Maintain the facility support equipment to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing Maintain air handlers, HEPA units, chillers, boilers, vacuum and compressed air systems, forklifts, laboratory equipment and facility structure (walls, floors, ceilings, etc.
) Perform and verify complete documentation of work orders, logbooks, change control, per appropriate SOP with completion at the time of work complete and prior to submission for review Perform and verify complete documentation of equipment stoppages, interventions and repairs in all production filling and packaging equipment logbooks, per applicable SOP for analysis and corrective actions Perform the required PMs on all facilities equipment per the daily/monthly/quarterly and annual schedule and appropriate SOP Perform plumbing, pipe fitting and valve repairs and modifications Perform minor electrical repairs, up to 110V Read electrical and mechanical drawings for troubleshooting Modify and manufactured parts to replace worn parts or to enhance operation Maintain a critical spare parts inventory Interact with vendors, suppliers for timely and best price delivery of parts Undertake equipment reliability reviews Able to work in elevated areas requiring ladders or lifts Make recommendation for improvement in equipment efficiency Maintain a working team environment Perform other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or the equivalent, college degree preferred 2 - 5 years facility maintenance experience in an FDA regulated environment, pharmaceutical industry preferred Time management skills to work on multiple projects simultaneously Must be able to work independently Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Strong problem-solving skills, especially mechanical, chemical, and logistical PLC, tools (handheld drills, cutting grinding, welding, soldering) abilities Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with hazardous materials and industrial equipment Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time Must be able to work more than 40 hours in a week and weekends Job Type:
