Electro-Mechanical Assembler - 2nd Shift

Summary:

Kay and Associates, Inc., is seeking experiencedElectro-Mechanical Assemblersfor 2nd Shift positions in Glendale Heights.

Core areas of focus include assembly and mounting of circuit board components, electronics box-building and enclosures, extrusions and other fabricated metal parts, blow molding and higher value plastic products; wiring harnesses, cable assemblies and turnkey, lower-volume electro-mechanical products.

Position is expected to be on a contract to direct hire basis.

Glendale Heights, IL

Work Schedule:

2nd Shift:

Monday - Friday, 3:30 PM 12:00 AM

Pay:

$12.00 - $13.00 / hour (DOE)

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble enclosures made of aluminum, steel, fiberglass or plastic.
  • Assist team with finding quality defects in PCB assemblies and fix defects to comply with IPC standard.
  • Use of computer programs, such as Microsoft Office Word and Excel, for data entry, record-keeping, and other uses as needed
  • Assist with other related activities such as applying barcode labels to completed units andpacking and unpacking parts and completed units.
  • Follow safety rules and keep work area in a clean and orderly condition.

  • Good component identification skills.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Ability to work from drawings and parts lists
  • High attention to detail

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience assembling electro-mechnical products in a manufacturing / production environment.
  • 2+ years of experience reading parts lists and work instructions, drawings or diagrams to complete tasks
  • Verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Experience working to IPC standards is preferred

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
